Roots and Shoots deals mainly with flowers and plants. For the Fair, there will be family activities, childrens games, food and local produce stalls, there will of course be flowers and plants on sale. Atmoshpere will be lively, informal and simple. Signs must amplify mentioned quality and represent them to the fullest, if not, Fair will easily be classified as "just-another-fair" by passer-bys.

There will be no usual header and body in layout of sign – they carry with them meanings which are unfavourable to Fair.

Contemporary quality sign will lift moral of students at Roots and Shoots.

A voluntary work for Roots and Shoots.

To create signs to annouce a Charity Fair on a minimal budget.

Signs are to be up along Kennington Road where people travel at 70mph.

"Roots and Shoots provide training for disadvantaged young people,
often with learning difficulties, to give them the skills and self-confidence to equip them for work."

Layout took inspiration from plants – more organic, growth and movement.

Information has been kept coherent.

Being eye-catching was one of the main objective of sign design, clarity was another.

A0 sized exterior plys were hand painted using custom mixed paint, vinyl-letterings were sponsored by MTADigital.
